Settings — Billing
The Billing tab in Settings is where you manage your subscription, view usage, and handle invoices. Billing is scoped to a team — each team has its own subscription.
Plans
SimpleLogs offers four plans. Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe.
| Plan | Price | Log events / mo | Storage | Retention | Team members |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 10,000 | 100 MB | 7 days | 1 (personal only) |
| Basic | $19/mo | 100,000 | 1 GB | 30 days | 1 (personal only) |
| Pro | $49/mo | 1,000,000 | 10 GB | 60 days | Up to 10 |
| Enterprise | $199/mo | 10,000,000 | 100 GB | 90 days | Unlimited |
All paid plans include:
- Unlimited touchpoints
- API access
- Custom dashboards
- Email alerts (Pro and Enterprise)
- Priority support (Enterprise)
Touchpoint limits apply only to the Free plan (max 25). All paid plans have unlimited touchpoints.
Upgrading or downgrading
Click Upgrade on any plan card to begin a Stripe Checkout session. If you already have a subscription, you can switch plans from the Billing tab — changes take effect at the next billing cycle.
Usage
The Usage section shows your current-cycle consumption:
- Log events — events ingested this billing period vs. your plan limit
- Storage — total storage used vs. your plan limit
Usage bars update as data is ingested. If you approach your limits, SimpleLogs will stop ingesting new events (for log events) or may stop storing new data (for storage) until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade.
Overages
On paid plans, you can enable overage billing to continue ingesting beyond your plan limits:
| Overage type | Rate |
|---|---|
| Log events | Per 1,000 events above plan limit |
| Storage | Per GB above plan limit ($0.20 / GB) |
Overages are billed as metered usage on your next Stripe invoice. You can toggle overages on or off from the Billing tab.
Add-ons
The Billing tab also shows any active add-ons (such as extra retention days). Add-on pricing is separate from the base plan price.
Invoices
The Invoices section lists your past Stripe invoices with their amount, date, and status. Paid invoices include a download link.
Billing portal
Click Manage Billing to open the Stripe Customer Portal where you can update your payment method, view invoice history, and manage your subscription directly.
Transferring a subscription
If you want to move your subscription to a different team workspace, use the Transfer Subscription option in the Billing tab. This is useful if you set up billing on your personal workspace and later want to move it to a shared team workspace.
